I am a qualified photographer based in Oxfordshire with over 25 years experience in providing high-quality imagery for press and publicity.
I have spent many years covering all aspects of photojournalism including picture editing for the Oxford Mail and Times and I have been shortlisted for a number of awards for press photographer of the year. I have developed a keen ability in knowing how to take powerful, dynamic images.
My work by its very nature has been hugely diverse and over the years I have produced high-end images across all genres for local business and national agencies.
When you hire me, you get a photographer with a passion for his trade. One who has honed his skills over time, combining creativity and imagination with great lighting skills and a good eye for composition.

I have known Richard for many years. I was photographed by Richard for the press and then, over a number of sessions, he photographed my sculptures for my website. I am extremely pleased with the resulting images, and confident to approach galleries with them.Richard was very inventive and resourceful in making a difficult space work for the best possible photos. My sculptures aren't easy to photograph as they have both very dark and light (reflecting/shiny) surfaces. This however was not a problem for Richard as he used studio flash and backdrops with reflectors bouncing the light back into the shadows.
Richard is highly skilled at his craft and the art of photography. He has a very good eye and ability to find the right angle and view. He is very flexible in dealing with unforeseen or difficult circumstances, as well as with people - always friendly, focused, calm, and a delight to collaborate with - I would highly recommend him for any photography.

I am delighted with the photographs Richard created of me, my wife and our two children. The 2 hour shoot at our home was such a relaxed event; he put us all at ease and was really great with our children (3 and 5 years old). We will cherish the photos, and they take pride of place in our lounge and entrance hall.

Having seen Rich's impressive portfolio, I asked him to kindly take photos at my 50th birthday party (it was full on fancy dress with circa 70 people). He and his work were amazing. The photos were incredible. He didn't stage manage anything, he simply mingled with the party and took some wonderfully authentic photos of party people being party people and in their element, blissfully unaware of the camera. It was so special and he helped us have incredibly vivid permanent images of an amazing event with friends and family. I couldn't recommend Rich highly enough! To boot he is a top bloke.
